How A LifeGuardian Home Medical Alarm System Works

Call For Immediate Personal Assistance With The Push Of A Button...

1. Press the "Call-For Help" Button

Whenever you need help, one press of your lightweight, waterproof Personal Help Button activates a small in-home unit.

The LifeGuardian™ Medical Alarm System base console will respond by loudly and repeatedly announcing "Emergency!...Emergency!" for about 30 seconds.

This give the subscriber the comfort of knowing that help is on the way. It also allows time for the subscriber to cancel the alarm if is an accidental button push.

Next, LifeGuardian™ Medical Alarm System puts you in immediate two-way voice contact with a caring Security Center Personal Help Assistant who talks directly to you over the base console to find out what kind of help you need. They will respond based upon your needs...and they'll stay with you until help arrives.

Unlike many other medical alert systems, the LifeGuardian™ Medical Alarm System is prepared to handle all types of emergencies. This includes fires, smoke, gas leaks, medical emergencies and non-emergency aid requests.

2. A professional emergency dispatcher announces themselves on the console speakerphone....

Simply pressing your Personal Help Button puts you in immediate contact with a live, caring Security Center Emergency Operator. They can speak directly with you over the built-in hands-free two-way speakerphone to find out what kind of help or personal assistance you need.

"Mrs. Franks, this is the LifeGuardian Security Center. Is this an emergency? Are you all right?"   "HELP! I've slipped and I can't get up!"

They will loudly announce their emergency response and attempt to establish two-way voice communications with the subscriber.

3. You Tell Us What You Need....

Your Personal Help Assistant has all of your personal contacts - plus local emergency dispatch phone numbers - at their fingertips.

"I understand you can't get up. I'll try and call your neighbor to help you!"   "Thank you so much...I could not have gotten to the phone!"

LifeGuardian™ Personal Emergency Medical Alert System subscribers establish a network of friends, neighbors and relatives -- folks who will come to your home to check on you. 

Our emergency operators have the knowledge to call appropriate help -- whether it's a friend, family member, neighbor or an ambulance.

4. We immediately contact family, friends or neighbors you choose....

While people choose LifeGuardian™ Medical Alarm System for a number of reasons, they remain dedicated subscribers largely because of the caring response they get from LifeGuardian™ Emergency Operators every time they push their Personal Help Button.

"Mrs. Smith, this is Security Center. Your neighbor Mrs. Franks has called for help and needs your immediate assistance. Are you available to assist her?"   "Oh my. YES!" I will go over to check on her right away!"

When you sign-up with LifeGuardian™ Medical Alarm System, you specify an emergency "call list" of local family, friends and neighbors. In the event of an emergency - of if the emergency dispatcher can not establish 2 way voice communications - they will immediately attempt to notify paramedics or your pre-established emergency contacts on file.

5. We stay with you while we arrange for help to arrive!

Your LifeGuardian™ Personal Help Assistant will never leave you during an emergency. 

"Mrs. Smith...This is Cary from Security Center. ...Is Mrs. Franks OK?   "I'm checking right now... I have a key and am letting myself in.. Please stay with me while I check on her..

From the moment an emergency signal is received until your help arrives, a professionally-trained emergency dispatcher constantly monitors your situation and actively responds to your needs.

Whether it is calling a neighbor, contacting a family member or notifying emergency personnel, your emergency dispatcher is watching out for your safety and security!

6. We can dispatch emergency response....

When you subscribe with LifeGuardian™ Medical Alarm System, we ask all the important questions. You tell us who to call in the event of an emergency (and in what order), all critical medical conditions, allergies, prescriptions, and house key locations.

"I've checked and Mrs. Franks has fallen hard. She should see a doctor right away to make sure she is all right. Please send help at once!"   "OK...I'll send the paramedics...and I'll stay right here with you on the line until help  arrives."

When you press your Personal Help Button, the highly trained LifeGuardian™ Emergency Dispatcher who answers your call knows who you are, where you are and your special needs and circumstances before you say a word.

If the Personal Help Assistant needs to contact emergency personnel, they will convey important information to them so they will be "up to speed" when they arrive at your door.

7. We can notify your family & friends of your situation....

If your Personal Help Assistant dispatches emergency response, they will then attempt to reach someone on your call list - including family members, friends and neighbors.

"They're taking her to the doctor right now. I'll lock up the house and look after her pets. Can you call her daughter?"   "Thanks Mrs. Smith...I'll notify her daughter immediately. Thank you for your help!"

Your Personal Help Assistant will inform loved-ones that your LifeGuardian Medical Alarm System has been activated and that emergency help has been dispatched to your location.

We can also pass along important information regarding your condition, who responded to your emergency, to what hospital or medical center you were transported to and many other details.

Your family will appreciate being immediately notified of any emergency.

8. We pass along critical information when your family needs it most!

In an emergency, your family, friends and neighbors want to know about it right away.

"Hello, This is Carolyn Franks"   "Carolyn... this is your mom's Security Center  operator calling. I wanted to let you know your mom fell today... She will be just fine...she is at....

We can contact and update anyone you ask us to in the event of an emergency situation. You'll have the peace of mind knowing that you don't have to worry about notifying your loved-ones immediately.

They'll be there for you sooner and be able to assist in your care.

9. We protect you from all types of emergencies....

The LifeGuardian™ Personal Emergency Medical Alert System supports all types of personal emergencies - much more than just a medical alert system.

"How is she?"   "Her neighbor, Mrs. Smith, was able to check on her...she is just a little shaken up. We dispatched an ambulance to take her to the Hopkins Medical Center Downtown just to be safe.

Your Personal Help Assistant is trained to call the appropriate response depending upon your situation. We are trained to respond to medical, police, fire emergencies and we have all of your local emergency response numbers at our fingertips.

If it is not a serious emergency, you are still welcome to speak with an emergency dispatcher and request that they contact one or more persons on your pre-determined call list for assistance.
